Just read about the RTA initiative of expanding Dubai creek back to the Arabian gulf, thus effectively turning Bur Dubai area into the artificial island. I heard about building artificial islands, huge water parks but I think this is first initiative of its kind. Chey how complex this gonna be!
I believe this will not be a straight forward project and will face lots of environmental/social challenges. Imagine piece of road is replaced by water way how about sewerage, bridges, and settlement of effected peoples, infrastructure and lot more..
Tourists will enjoy that!
