Toxic!!!

Yesterday I was watching the comeback program of Dr Shahid Masood on Geo, in which he interviewed Top level Defence analyst from India Bharat Varma, Dr Masood had a hot discussion with him especially on the Indo-Pak relationship.

Some of the comments from Varma were very sarcastic and immature, that really shows the aggressive mode in which India is

Indian allegations on Pakistan

Once again the same old story, Indian authorities has alleged Pakistan for the involvement in the recent Mumbai incidents, on return Pakistan president has offered full cooperation in sharing intelligence information etc.

I think now it’s a time to show the mature politics blaming Pakistan I don’t think will solve the issue instead, the terrorist will gain the advantage. So focus should be on finding the culprits instead of blaming.

I was expecting that something going to happen in Karachi after Mumbai, and it happened more here.

Next few days will be very critical in Indo-Pak relationship, and would be interesting that how things shapes.

Should ban on ICL players lifted by Boards?

Last year inaugural ICL and IPL leagues attracted number of international players for playing, though IPL got recognized from BCCI and ICC but unfortunately ICL didn’t. Because of this different boards banned their players for international cricket as more and more international players are joining this league, I think now it’s time that authorities should reconsider their decision.

International players like Imran Nazir, Muhammad Yusuf, Abdul Razzaq, Rana Naved, Shane Bond and few other New Zealanders have joined this league by compromising their international career. These players have lot of International cricket left, and it would very fortunate if they don't play becauase of un-recognition. Now it’s inevitable that ICC and other boards should recognize ICL and lift the ban from these players.

Other day I was watching the highlights of Imran Nazir innings in ICL third final, it was absolutely magnificent and treat to watch. Just imagine the loss that Pakistan cricket will have if he did'nt played for Pakistan.

Owning a vehicle in Dubai, a headache which goes on and on!!!

Inhabitants of Dubai must have been aware (or force to) about the importance of owning a vehicle, not only essential for day to day life vehicle is also become a symbol of social status.

First step in getting a vehicle is to have a driving license, registered yourself in one of driving institute and straight away you will get a three month waiting. lolz… During these months you will definitely curse the taxi drivers, public transport system and by going late to the office you will get the same medicine from your admin as well.

Once you have your driving classes started and if you are lucky enough to have instructor with good attitude you will enjoy your classes' otherwise French connection. Once you clear the internal parking and assessment test all is set for the big challenge the 'road test'.

I think clearing road test is about 50% luck and 50% confidence, if you drove vehicle confidently and without any stupid mistake then you have a good chance of clearing it. But I have few peoples who are expert drivers but still thy got license in fifth-sixth attempt.

After getting the driving license, you will have different challenges all together, getting your vehicle loan approved, submitting all sorts of documents and continuous follow-ups. Ahhh

Don’t forget the fears like parking availability, toll taxes, fines and traffic jams, though I have not experience this yet, but have seen people suffering from these.

I love Dubai but I think there is big need for improving the transport system and policies, hope metro completion will be a leap forward but nothing can be said in advance.

Enjoy commuting ..

Who is the next Super power??

Irrespective of how civilized and globalized human society becomes but always there are nation(s) which we called as super power. Sometimes a single country or some times two or three but it is the history that there always exists one.

Main factor of becoming a super power is off course the economy, but there are lot of other aspects as well which are equally important and crucial such as global importance, political influence, electronic and print media, armed forces, culture and fashion, work force etc.

If we look at the current scenario, after the dissolution of USSR, USA was the stand out super power. It had its influence on the world right from the word go. We have seen the wars, we have seen the advancement in science and technology, lot of political and geographical changes in last few decades and no doubt USA has proved itself the super power.

No one can remain on top forever and I think the recent recession of USA economy and financial turmoil is a beginning of an end. Might not be in near future but definitely this will eventually happen. But question is who will be the next super power after USA? In my view point following can be

China: the way its economy is growing remains a main threat for west, but I think two main factors are major obstacle for China to become the Super power. One is communism and other is language barrier. I had a discussion with my friend (Rasheed) some time back on this and he had some interesting facts as well to prove this point.

Australia: very versatile and diverse country (one of my fav) but constant droughts remains the main threat for their agriculture and fall in the economy remains the daunting threat, as it is evident in government policies.

Pakistan: I would love to see Pakistan coming front, though we have everything which is required but all we need is to put all together and become a one nation. Political instability, law and order and nexus of neighbors remain the main problem.

India: for my money India has the great chance to become the next super power, rest aside the poverty otherwise it has everything which is needed. It has Growing economy, work force, migrants all over the world, advancement in technology, influence of armed forces, political influence, sports influence (IPL etc), and the culture.

That’s all for the time being, I might write more on Pakistan and India but till then…
