Suicide bombing, a psychological disease?

Suicide bombing, a psychological disease?
I think these days everyone knows about suicide bombing, especially the people northern areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan would know much better because they have suffered from this most. Being a Pakistani and for that matter human being I am very sad about this but my sadness won’t do any good for the course so I thought to share my ideas to express my grief.
First and foremost we need to clear our mind about who these bombers are, most people would believe that suicide bombers are some radical and fascist person belongs from some region, some religion or of some ethnicity. But this is not the case, suicide bombing is a psychological phenomena or a psychological disease which anyone can suffer from but people with less temperament and less education are more susceptible.
The main cause of this psychological disease is extreme emotions; it got to be something extreme running in your mind which is causing you to kill yourself and others. I could see following as main factors motivating someone for this heinous act.
Extreme Despair: the major cause behind this motivation, note I didn’t use the term psychological disease this time. Because this is understandable if someone kills your loved ones for no reason you going to definitely retaliate in extreme possible way. Good examples of such cases are in Palestines, Kashmir or Sri Lanka. So I think BIG DADDIES should try to solve their problem and give them their right instead calling them terrorists.
Religious and Social illiteracy: This is called brain washing, some people thinks that they are committing suicide for their religion but unfortunately this not correct. No religion particularly Islam allows killing innocent people, so if someone thinks this is for religion then definitely there is something wrong, our religious organizations and parties should come forward to stop spreading this false belief. One way could be ‘Tableghe-Jamaat’ these guys could go to northern areas and invite and motivate people about the religion and convince them that this terrorism in not religion.
Negligence: discrimination is another major factor for suicide motivation, neglected people found themselves insecure, oppressed and hence susceptible for this brain wash for the sake of their rights. BLA is a good example.
What lies on us as responsible citizens?
Well theoretically there is no solution for suicide bombing, we can minimize the damage but can’t prevent it. In broader perspective our ultimate goal should be to study and analyze the causes behind this. The most important thing is mitigate the problems mentioned above, if someone is oppressed we need to take care them give them their right; if someone is neglected we need to give them their deserved attention or if someone is brain washed we need to bring their senses back.
If I focus to NWFP then there is a lot we can do in order to tackle talibinization and terrorism.
1.       Educate people; an educated society itself is a major cure for this disease by education I also mean religious education.
2.       Socialize people into sports and other healthy activities.
3.       Be socially aware of what is happening around, any suspicious act should be reported to concerned authorities.
4.       Responsibilities also lies on religious organization to go and visit these places, invite people to talk, to discuss open their mind and penetrate.
5.       Build patriotism, there is no doubt that in NWFP there is a big foreign involvement to support this terrorism against the state of Pakistan. So we need to build the patriotism for the country in the heart of local people, if we able to do that they themselves become shield to stop terrorism.

In the end, I know there are some groups who are running this business (CIA/RAW/MOSAD) but it’s the common innocent people who have been used as weapon. I am sure that this fight cannot be won through weapons, the amount of dollars that US have spent on this ‘War on Terror’ if half of this was spent on education and infrastructure the situation would have been entirely different.
Look forward to your comments..

2012 the beginning of end?

2012 the beginning of end?
Note: Reader’s discretion advised.
You often see people talking about end of the world, what is the future of humanity, where we will be after 50 years, can we predict about the future etc. Human is always anxious about knowing the future and have various myths and knowledge and religious literatures to predict the upcoming events, sometimes they work sometimes don’t.
Have read a lot about the judgment day or Armageddon from political, religiously, astronomically and most importantly the cosmologically. I found it very intriguing that year 2012 is considered as quite important for the humanity. Though I will discuss the religious, political and social importance of 2012 but cosmological importance remains my focal point which I will discuss in the end.
Astronomical
Maya civilization (c. 2000 BC to 250 AD), is one of the oldest civilizations and their evidence found in Central Americas, they were known for their art, architecture and mathematical and astronomical systems and interestingly their calendar called Maya Calendar ends at December 21 2012. What’s so Significant about it? Well it seems not but the fact to remember is that Mayans were very intelligent in astronomy and many scientist believe few important celestial events going to place near to the same time which have greater effect on life on earth this may be a coincidence or may be truth of Mayans knowledge. More about these celestial events here, if you are interested to know more about Maya myths this is the place.
Astrology
If you are interested in astrology, this is a place to read, many astrologists speculates that around 2012 is what earth will enter in Aquarius age, it is one of the twelve astrological age believed by some to parallel major changes in the Earth's inhabitants' development, particularly relating to culture, society and politics. More information on astrological ages here
Cosmological
You guess right, my favorite, whatever we discussed so far could be the mere hypothesis which might not realize at all, but is what following is something to look at.
We know that Sun is pivotal to the Universe and particularly for earth; Human existence of life on earth is largely because of Sun. weather on earth and for that matter our universe are mainly dependent on the activities that takes place on Sun. it emits large amount of radioactive and magnetic layers to universe and pattern of this emission is called solar cycle. Currently we are in the solar cycle 24 and Nasa predicts in 2006 that the peak of this cycle is expected to reach around 2010-11 and solar activity around that time going to be most intense of all times, so it’s called this as Super Solar Storm.
Now what does this lead us to? Change of South and North poles, compass may not work as they are. Satellite system could Jam, TV, mobile systems and never know what else.
Another threat this fierce solar activity could cause is the eruption of super volcanoes which can responsible for mass destruction.
Galactic alignment, is phenomenon which occurs when earth and sun are direct in line with centre of the galaxy, this phenomenon occurs after 25800 years, interestingly this period is almost equal to the one complete astrological age. Following video explains more about galactic alignment and polar shift.
Just to conclude, this phenomenon could be internet hoax or who know the hidden truth but then we are humans with the knowledge so why don’t explore and try to unveil the secrets of universe.
I think being a Muslim I believe that only Almighty Allah knows about the future and he is the one who can change it, but knowing more about this universe certainly makes my faith more and more firm on him and I must say “Subhan-Allah” that he is the only one who can create the systems of such precisions and I also applaud the humans about their exploration and decoding of secrets.

Role of Media in Restoring Pakistan’s Image

There was time when wars have won on the battle field but as human civilization evolves things have changed as well; now social, political, and economical grounds are very crucial. But now one doesn’t needs to fight at all because on top Media drives all, it could prove truth as lie or vice versa and that’s what it is happening with Pakistan.

Pakistan is probably going from its toughest phase in the history, foreign insurgence in northern areas and war against terrorism were already causing problems for us, and the recent Indian allegations will not make the things better. UN had already banned few organizations in Pakistan (on Indian request), now Security Council is thinking of more.

I think Media has to play the major role in order to restore our image internationally; we are a good nation who condemns terrorism in any form. There might be some groups who are doing wrong things but it doesn’t mean they represent the whole nation.

If I go back to Indian allegations, Everyone knows the involvement in Indian Army in Samjhota Express Bombing (zee news), Killing of investigation officer in Mumbai attacks (Hemant Karkare) or the evidence of Marathi guy involved in Mumbai attacks but these facts where hidden behind the strong propaganda and campaign of Indian media. And I will agree with Zaid Hamid that the main advantage that India media have is that that they have a penetration in west hence they can portray whatever they want to. Have a look at Zaid Hamid response to Bharat Varma for more details.

I am not defending any terrorist organization or activity nor I am talking about a particular religion; terrorism has no religion and no country and it’s a threat for everyone. But we need to know what terrorism is and who is causing it.

It’s a time for us to step forward and reveal the truth and restore the image of what we actually are.

Look forward to have suggestions and more view points.
